Para quem está a querer se iniciar nos passeios pela nossa ilha, um dos pequenos trilhos/levada é entre o Pico das Pedras e as Queimadas, fica situado no Concelho de Santana e tem uma duração de cerca de 1 hora.

Fiz este pequeno passeio em 2012 com o meu filho de apenas 5 anos, o qual adorou a sua iniciação nos trilhos e levadas principalmente que ao chegar às Queimadas usou a sua merenda de bolachas para alimentar as trutas e os patos e cisnes que por ali andam, ou seja o auge para qualquer criança, andar a pular nas poças de lama pelo caminho molhar as mãos na levada com água a correr e dar comida aos animais.
Isto para vos dizer que este é um pequeno trilho que pode ser feito por qualquer pessoa de qualquer idade, muito seguro e bonito, pois está mesmo no meio da Laurissilva e o numero de vegetação indígena é muito bom sendo que muitas estão mesmo identificadas quer no parque de merendas do Pico das Pedras, quer no parque de merendas das Queimadas, ambos locais muito bons para um pequeno descanso antes de rumar a casa no final do dia.
I made this little tour in 2012 with my son whit only 5 years old, which worshiped his initiation in trails and taken mainly his lunch of crackers to feed the trout and ducks and swans that go through there , that is even for any child, walking to jump in mud puddles on the path taken in wet hands with running water and feed the animals.
This is to tell you that this is a small trail that can be done by anyone of any age, very safe and beautiful as it is right in the middle of Laurel and the number of indigenous vegetation is very good and many are even identified either in the park picnic Pico das Pedras, either in the picnic area of Queimadas, both very good places for a little rest before heading home at the end of the day.

A sustentabilidade destes locais passa pela sua conservação, pelo que devemos sempre tentar apenas deixar as nossas pegadas na terra que pisamos nada mais do que isso, pois em todos os percursos da nossa ilha temos ecopontos para tudo o queremos deitar fora, respeite se quer ser respeitado, já diziam os mais antigos, pois com a natureza é o mesmo.
